Sleep under the stars on a working farm that has been stewarded by the same family since 1872. Our campsites offer a rare chance to pitch your tent or park your RV on 115+ acres of rolling Appalachian pastureland, surrounded by mountain ridges, open meadows, and the quiet rhythm of farm life. Wake up to roosters, watch the cattle graze at dawn, and fall asleep to the sound of crickets and the Linville Creek. This is camping as it was meant to be: raw, beautiful, and deeply connected to the land.

House Rules
- Check-in: After 3:00 PM (self check-in with lockbox)
- Check-out: Follow host instructions (typically before 11:00 AM)
- Maximum 10 guests per site
- Pets allowed, keep leashed around livestock
- Quiet hours: 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- No smoking
- No parties or events
- Commercial photography allowed (with permission)
- Leave no trace, pack out all trash
- Fires in designated pits only. Douse with water when done.
- Closed gates stay closed; livestock are not pets
Cancellation Policy
Full refund: Cancel before 3:00 PM on check-in day for 100% refund.
Partial refund: Cancel before 3:00 PM the day after check-in and get back every night but the first one.
Note: Refund eligibility depends on payments made at time of cancellation.

Shipley Farms has been stewarded by the same family since 1872, long before the Blue Ridge Parkway, before Boone was a college town, before the world discovered what locals always knew: this corner of North Carolina is paradise. The same ridges Daniel Boone once traversed rise behind our pastures. The same waters that fed his expeditions flow through Linville Creek at the edge of our land. When you stay at Valley View, you become part of that story, even if just for a weekend.
