Overview

Shipley Farms (“we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it when you visit our website or place an order.

Information we collect

Information you provide: name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, and order details when you create an account, place an order, or contact us. We also collect your email address if you enter it in the welcome offer that appears on the site or in the sign-up form in our website footer. We use your phone number to reach you about your order or delivery. We do not send marketing text messages.

Payment information: card payments are processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Automatic data: when you visit our site we automatically collect standard log and analytics data, such as the pages you view, the site that referred you, your device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. We also use the Meta (Facebook) pixel, which sends the pages you view on this site, including product and cart pages, to Meta Platforms, Inc. for advertising and audience measurement.

How we use your information

To process and fulfill orders, communicate about your orders, provide customer support, send updates you opt into, and improve our products and website.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share information about your activity on this site with Google and with Meta for analytics and advertising, as described under Sharing and Cookies below. Some state privacy laws treat that kind of advertising sharing as a “sale” or a “share.” If you would prefer we did not do it, email beef@shipleyfarmsbeef.com and we will honor your request.

Sharing

We share information with service providers who help us run our business, including our payment processor (Stripe), shipping carriers (UPS), our email delivery provider, our accounting system, and our website hosting provider.

We also share information about your activity on this site with analytics and advertising platforms: Google, through Google Analytics, and Meta Platforms, Inc., through the Meta pixel. These platforms receive the pages you view, together with your IP address, browser information, and identifiers stored in cookies.

We disclose information when required by law. We do not otherwise share it except as described in this policy.

Your choices

You may request a copy of your personal information, and you may request deletion of your account and personal information. You may ask us to correct your information, and you may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us. To ask us to stop sharing your activity with advertising platforms, see the note under “How we use your information” above.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for your shopping cart, to keep you signed in, to remember your language, for analytics, and for advertising. Google Analytics sets _ga cookies to measure how the site is used. The Meta pixel sets a _fbp cookie and reports your visit to Meta. These are set when you arrive on the site. We do not currently offer a cookie banner or preference center, so your browser settings are the way to control them, and blocking cookies may stop the cart and sign-in from working.
